St. George

We had such a great weekend in St. George with my family. My Grandma Thede came in town from Florida, so it was extra special for her to be there too. We had almost everyone there, except Weid was in Logan for a friend's wedding and Mindy is at school. We were meeting up with my parents and Jamie was riding with us in our car down there and as soon as we got in our car Heidi held up her binoculars and said that she was trying to see Jamie. She also said all the way down there, "When are we going to see George?" I'm not sure if she meant a person or the monkey or what, but I don't think that she was disappointed after all the fun we had. The first night Jared and my dad watched the kids and the rest of us went to see Aida at the Tuacahn. It was really good, and neat how they flooded the stage. They had this outside the amphitheater. It's a pretty funny picture, especially Jamie. While we were gone I was told that the phone rang in our room and Heidi pi...

Heidi and Hailey

The girls running around getting ready for the BYU game to start Showing how big they are Watching a church movie together Sitting by some pumpkins Heidi Heidi coloring on our back porch Heidi is such a cute girl. She often tells us, "Hailey can't have this. She's allergic." One Saturday we were watching a movie and when the credits started playing she said, "Ok, it's done. Now let's watch football." Heidi and Hailey love to go around the house and say "Boo" after jumping out from somewhere. I asked her what else we say on Halloween and she said "trick-or-treat". I was very impressed. I asked her where she learned that and she said, "From Dora and Boots and the little monster." (A Halloween Dora movie that her grandma recently gave her) Hailey Hailey wore this hood on her outfit all day because she loved that she was Minnie Mouse Hailey all ready for church Hailey finishing a puzzle, one of her favorite things to ...

What we like about October

Scarecrows and Pumpkins Riding bikes and scooters (just like Dad and Papa) Picking apples with Grammy and cousins Playing with Grandpa, jumping on the tramp, and eating entire apples! She ate the whole thing and was down to the little part in her hand. She told Grandpa, "There's a bug in my apple" when she saw the seeds. We put up our Halloween decorations on the 1st and have had a lot of fun this year playing with the pumpkin decorations, and having festive pillow cases and night lights. I'm sure they'll also love it when they get to go out and get candy!

Muffins...

My most recent attempt to make life more normal for Hailey has been greatly increased thanks to this we bsit e . Luckily my mother-in-law saw an article about this new cookbook coming out and the website that she also keeps up. I now have quite a few new recipes that will be perfect, especially for the upcoming holidays. I am very excited about the pumpkin pie that I can make so my little girl can have it on Thanksgiving. A few weeks ago when I took Hailey to the allergist I was hoping that I was just being really paranoid about the foods I thought she was allergic to. After getting the call back from them about her actually being very allergic to the things that I thought (and knew) she was and I was told to take her epipen everywhere and to treat reactions aggressively, I have been even more stressed out about the situation. No milk, no eggs, no peanuts. And nothing containing even a fragment of those things in it. It has been quite difficult to say the least, and I am very...

Having fun

These little girls just love to be outside and have fun. It's a good thing we've been doing a lot of that lately because it's suddenly become very cold around here. Hailey's newest words are Grandpa, bubbles, and oatmeal. Heidi loves to go to the library and get library books and she likes going to see her grandparents. These girls also love being pretty girls by getting their nails painted (like we did this morning) and always having bows in their hair. This park is right by the library and Heidi loves the pink slide. They love chasing bubbles Heidi also likes to blow the bubbles Hailey loves to run around and catch the bubbles Hailey was having fun using the shovel to put the blocks in the pail Both the girls reading to their babies. It's especially funny to watch Hailey because she just babbles on and on like she's really reading to her.
