Early risers...

Why did this have to happen to me? I hate the mornings! And yet these two girls love to wake up early. Heidi likes to wake up between 5:30 and 6:00 every morning. Sometimes it's earlier than that, but rarely is it later. Hailey still eats every 3-4 hours, even at night, so I am still not getting very much sleep at a time. And now for about the past week Hailey has been waking up at 5:30 to eat and wanting to be up for the day at that time. This is a morning a few weeks ago. Heidi loves eating breakfast with her dad. She sits there with her milk and cereal and says, "Oatmeal too", because she wants some of Weid's oatmeal. Such cute girls, but why do they have to wake up so early?

A picture summary of our time in Utah.

Jamie and Hailey Hailey was so tired. We took a five generation picture and while we were looking at the pictures afterwards, Hailey fell asleep. So sweet! Hailey didn't want to sit on the couch, just stand. As Weid would say, Hailey changed a lot in the 5 days that he didn't see her. She is no longer content to lay on her back. She rolls over every time now! And then she turns in a circle to face the direction that she wants to. Heidi had so much fun playing with her cousins. And she loves slides! The Zoo: I finally took them there, after I had been talking about it all summer. Heidi loved all of the animals! Well, except for the alligators and crocodiles, and for some reason this is the closest that she would get to this Rhino statue. We had to get a picture with the Cougar! It's at the top if you look real close. It stopped there and posed for the picture. It must have known we are fellow cougars! Me, my sister, and our kids with the zebras. (My mom was the...

Our happy family...

This past week has been wonderful. A HUGE win over UCLA in football, the girls have been able to see both sets of grandparents, plus their great grandma Thede and their great great grandma Peterson. Me and the girls are currently in Utah for the entire week and the only way it would be better is if Weid could have stayed here with us. But it was the only way for us to see his parents (since they are travelling around the world again, currently in Switzerland), and to do things with my family that I can't do on just our quick weekends when we come out for the games. We celebrated Heidi's birthday on Saturday and had a lot of fun with all of my family (except Mindy who we will miss for the next little while as she is going to school at Duke). We played some Pin the Nose on Elmo, opened presents, and ate some cake and ice cream. Heidi got a little pink potty that she will be using shortly when we decide to potty train her. Check-ups!

Today we went to the doctor and both of the girls are doing just wonderful! They are both in the 10th percentile in height, and Heidi weighs 21.6 lbs. and Hailey weighs 11 lbs. 5 oz. Let's just say that they are both pretty little and cute. Hailey is now rolling over both ways. She rolls over onto her stomach from her back a lot now. She is reaching for everything around her and laughing and smiling a lot. Heidi is so funny! Just today, we were sitting at the table eating lunch and she was having fun talking to me and laughing. She realized that she was smiling and so she said, "Smiley face." Then all of a sudden she put on this sad face and said, "sad face." Then it was hilarious because she would shake her head as if she were shaking the sadness away and she would put on the happiest face ever! She did it over and over for a few minutes and I was laughing so hard that she just kept doing it. She was pretty good at keeping that sad face while I was laughing at...

Heidi is 2!!!

Happy Birthday Heidi! I can't believe that my little baby girl is two! And I can't believe that I have been a mom for two years! She is such a sweet girl. Our little miracle baby is growing up so fast. In just two short years she has gone from this: to this: These are some of the reasons why I love Heidi: *She is so cute. *She loves to laugh and smile. *She likes to do tricks with mom and dad. *She always wants to be near me. *One time after telling her how cute she was she said, "Mommy cute". It was so sweet. *When something hurts we just tell her to kiss it better, she does and then says "all better". *One time she was tired and wanted to go to bed so she said, "Tired. Pray." *I caught her saying a prayer all by herself one time. It went like this, "Father. Day. Daddy. Mommy. House. Amen." *She always gives a kiss and a hug, even if I just ask for one of them. *She reads books to herself, which she knows quite well from the hundreds of ...

It's finally here!

The college football season has started! We are so excited for this new season and of course all of the trips to Provo to watch the games. It is such a fun time of year because we really get into the games, and also because we get to see our family a lot more often. We had a really great weekend. We had a fun barbeque with some great friends Friday night. Then we had a great day Saturday going to the BYU football game, and having lots of friends visit us that night. Sunday was a good day at church, and being able to spend time with my family and playing card games. On Monday, Weid went golfing with Curt, Jared, and my dad and all of his brothers and their sons, but only ended up playing a few holes since it was very rainy and cold. We hung out at my parents' house and then drove home. Luckily for us, Hailey slept most of the way and we didn't even have to stop. We are so excited for the rest of the season and the many trips home. And we are also excited to see Justin's pare...
