Monday, Nov. 21st, Heidi had a fun Thanksgiving program and feast. I was so glad I was able to go see her. She was so cute! They walked in wearing the outfits they had made that day. Heidi told me she chose to be an Indian and looked so cute with her feather headband and little vest. They walked in by classes and then they moved the short kids to the front. I was glad because then I had a nice view of my little Heidi. She smiled so big and I was so proud of her. I loved when they had them wave to their parents. They sang a few songs before we had the feast. I don't remember the first one but the second one was hilarious and went something like this: (to the tune of Where is Thumbkin ) Cornbread muffins, chestnut stuffing, Pumpkin pie, ten feet high. The third week of November was a lot of fun! We started off by having FHE Monday the 14 th with some friends and telling them that what we are very thankful for this year is for having such great friends. Living here without going back to see our families for over a year has been just fine because we have friends that feel like they are family. We let the kids make apple turkeys with colored marshmallows. They loved making them but they only lasted a few minutes until they all decided they really just wanted to eat the marshmallows. The next day we had the missionaries over to help us rake the leaves as part of their service. Where are all these leaves coming from? I think our trees are pretty much bare but the surrounding trees are now falling into our yard. Apparently Cougar fell down at some point made a few little peeps of sadness and then kept going on his way. He truly is our happy little guy, even with dirt and stuff all over his face and body. The second week of November had wonderful weather so we spent a lot of time outside. Hailey was so cute wearing this hat that someone in the ward gave us. Heidi wanted to take a picture by this statue on our walk home from school one day because she's seen the picture of me and Hailey by it. I love when the picture is her idea because then she smiles really cute. Hailey helped rake more leaves. We're glad she wanted to help because there sure are a lot of them! We're much better at raking the front yard than the back yard but there are so many leaves out there. I love how Hailey is the same size as the other rake. She sure was a good helper. That Sunday the Zolman's invited us over for a bonfire to roast marshmallows in their driveway. It was a lot of fun. Hailey loved the marshmallows (one of her favorite treats). The first week of November was a lot of fun. We were so glad to have Dad back from Utah. The kids especially loved it because he took them outside to play in the leaves. They had a blast! Cougar didn't really touch them but loved just being outside with his dad and watching his sisters have so much fun. These girls sure love each other! They were being so silly outside. It's fun to see their cute personalities come out when they're outside and feel free. We picked up some pumpkins from a family in our ward because they got them free from a pumpkin patch and cooked pumpkin for an entire day (pretty much). 3 huge pumpkins made for a lot of puree. Within 24 hours I made pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin soup, and macaroni and cheese with quite a bit of pumpkin puree mixed in. Lucky for us we still have a lot of pumpkin puree in the freezer. That weekend was the Home Depot Kids Workshop. They made picture frames. They really like the wood projects at Home Depot (...
