The Weidmans

My flowers and garden were doing really well. I was urged to take quite a few Hugs at our first in-person relief society meeting so I decided to make cookies with them. They were really good, especially when they were still warm. Weid is unexpectedly going to be done with his "summer internship" earlier than planned. He has been looking at old photos and journals, remembering his time in Zambia. Hailey rode up to Whiting with her dad. It was hard but she pushed through and did it. I wanted to use one pan to make two things so I tried to cool it off faster by running it under cold water and it shattered. The Wisers let us go swimming again and it felt so good on a hot day. Amy is home now so she made sure to feed us treats, even though we were just happy to be able to swim. We tried to take a picture with the timer but it was so bright so we had Jamie take one for us in the backyard. Hap loves to come see me as soon as he wakes up and is generally really happy in the mornings. Weid is trying to figure out this elephant since it just doesn't seem quite right. My garden is really growing! The squash bugs are too, but I checked every leaf and got rid of the eggs so hopefully they won't become too big of a problem. We went to the splash pad to cool off. Lacey kept running to the water and then running back and doing a little hop. I love my new fridge magnet from our trip. We went back to regular 2 hour church for the first time in over 15 months! It was so great to be back and finally see the members who are at the other end of the alphabet. The primary kids worked hard memorizing scriptures and articles of faith and got prizes. It was so hot out there. The Henderson's house is slowly getting closer to being finished; I love the color of their cabinets in this laundry room. We played at Grammy's again and picked raspberries.
