The Weidmans

I always want to remember the fun and silly things the kids say, as well as Hap's progress since he finally started to talk. So I've started taking notes on my phone right after they happen so I don't forget. There have been so many times where I think I'll never forget what's said and then can't remember what it was; even later that day sometimes. So here are the things I wrote down. Hap: September - Ha (Hap, puts his hand on his chest when he says it) Da (Dad) Mommy (yelled loud from his crib each morning) Huh, huh...then the word we're trying to get him to say, which usually does not start with an h October - A iyee (that's silly) Whaaaat? Nigh nigh (good night) November - One left (holds one finger up which means one more) Hive ahers (five crackers and holds up five fingers) Ease (please) Dood (good, usually with a thumbs up) Hop cor (popcorn because that's what he wants to eat or the song popcorn popping) Orange (favorite color of everything) Se...

We spent some more time with family completing another puzzle, playing games, and having fun at Hang Time. (Bring your own grippy socks or you have to buy them.) Lacey loved jumping everywhere and going down the slide head first. The kids were very generous with each other, giving gifts that will be loved and enjoyed. My parents did the 12 days of Christmas, giving an ornament each night (with the help of some neighbors after driving a bunch the first few nights). We played with new toys. I made some mac and cheese pizza because we had some leftovers. It was eaten, but not a new favorite. We had our last church day of the year. Hailey drew the cutest pictures on her sticky notes and was given her award for completing her Faith in God. We had my parents over for dinner and games. I am kicking myself for not opening Tsuro years ago. We completed several puzzles while watching bowl games. It's fun now that the older kids join in the puzzling. Christmas day was great. Technology allowed us to see everyone who wasn't able to be with us in person. The kids all got what they wanted from Santa, and were so happy with the gifts from each other too. Everyone wanted to help Hap. Hailey gave Hap a cute stuffed Blaze and he loved it. Brynlee gave Lacey a fuzzy wubble that she immediately loved. It was a white Christmas so the kids played outside in the morning and with help from Zach they were able to make a gigantic snowman. Then there was a snowball fight. In the afternoon we went sledding. The snow wasn't the best but it was so much fun. Brynlee and Hap didn't love the snow flying in your face as you sled down the hill. It was hilarious watching Lacey and McCall carry that sled up the hill. Hap liked it as long as I was holding him, but then loved it when I let him play on the playground.
