Getting so big!

Hailey Hailey turned 9 months old last weekend. She is a pretty petite little girl, just like her sister. At the doctor yesterday she was exactly 16 lbs, and 26 1/2 in. long. She is now all over the place and into everything! She loves to stand up holding on to furniture, family members, or anything that she can get a grip on so that she can pull up. She is now a super fast crawler. If Heidi leaves her sippy cup anywhere within Hailey's reach, she is bound to find it. In the last few weeks I have seen her get the cup from off the couch, off the table bench, and the rocking chair and every time it ended up in her mouth. Most times it was just juice in the cup, but sometimes it was milk so it was a good thing I caught her before she was able to drink anything. One time I saw her going after Heidi's cup, but before she grabbed for it she looked back at me with a cute little smile on her face. It was adorable! We love this little girl! She loves playing on her knees and...

Ice Skating

For Mutual last week we went ice skating, so we were able to take our girls and it was a lot of fun. Last year Heidi really liked riding in the sled. This year she didn't. But she still loved playing on the stairs! She loved doing her own kind of ice skating...walking on the ice with Dad. Hailey loved riding in the sled! Heidi didn't want to sit in the sled even long enough to take a picture.

Haircut Weekend

We all got haircuts this weekend. Except Hailey. She's bald. I cut Heidi and Justin's hair. Justin cut my hair, and pulled it through the cap to color it. It's pretty short. He cut off like 8 inches. I was a little bit nervous but it turned out great! Hailey loves following Heidi around the house. And getting into everything now. Heidi taught Hailey how to clap her hands. We went on a walk last week to help us all feel better. A little bit of fresh air did us a lot of good. It was so peaceful, and if it wasn't so cold we would have stayed out for a lot longer.

Our Christmas Vacation

Because I've been sick since getting home from our trip I haven't had a chance to do this until now. I got strep throat New Year's Eve, got some pills New Year's Day, started feeling better, then Heidi started to cough and have a runny nose, and now I'm sick again. Not a very fun way to start off the new year, or to celebrate my birthday, but oh well. That's why it will be fun for me to do this now and remember how much I love life when I'm not sick. And there are no pictures, but we have watched plenty of college football over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully enough to get us through the next 8 months. We had a pretty busy vacation traveling back and forth between our two families, and were pretty much exhausted when we got home, but it was so much fun!
