The kids raked the leaves and jumped in them. Somewhere around that time, Cougar lost his glasses. We searched everywhere (including in all the leaves) and could not find them. We were glad we had ordered another pair for him when we did. Where they went is still a mystery. This year we ended up with costume pairs: An angel and devil, a hero and villain, and a BYU cheerleader and football player. As soon as Brynlee told everyone that she was getting baptized on Halloween she was told that her costume should be an angel and she agreed. She loves the mask that she had me make to match her dress, and liked the halo that she insisted she needed too. Lacey decided she wanted to be a devil. Their costumes were kind of perfect for their personalities. Hap wanted to wear his muscles so he was Captain America. He wanted a picture on Dad's shoulder just like the girls. Brynlee really wanted a baptism like she had seen some of her friends have earlier in the year, but it kind of looked like that might never happen again. Our stake is having the kids get baptized with a max of 20 people and then getting confirmed right there wrapped in a towel, with no use of the changing rooms or even chairs. As soon as they said it was allowed to leave and change and do the confirmation at home (with a willing bishopric member - thanks Bro. Metler) Brynlee decided that would be good enough. Especially with it being on Halloween, a day she will always remember. She helped me design and pick out the fabric for her dress and then absolutely loved it when it was complete. Grandma and Papa bought her scriptures and Grammy made her a beautiful temple light. Her teacher, Sis. Rose, attended the baptism.
