Since Christmas

We've had lots of fun playing with our new Christmas things. Church was cancelled due to snow, so we had our own church at home. The girls enjoyed a lesson and coloring and then we watched Conference. We made bread in my new pans. I am so excited to have two larger pans instead of 5 small pans for bread. Cougar sat in his bed for the first time yesterday and slept in his crib for the first time last night. I got the whole bedding set for $10 this summer but haven't been able to use it since he didn't have a mattress until Christmas. We really miss having Daddy home. It was nice to have him home those 3 days in a row (Christmas Eve, Christmas and Sunday). But now he's back to school and work.

Homemade Christmas gifts

I kept myself busy this Christmas season making gifts. I love how it makes me feel making things myself. I made skirts for Heidi and Hailey Pillowcase dresses Handprint Christmas tree pillows for family Bows for the girls And some new church shirts for Cougar

Christmas Day

Christmas Day we woke up to a very white Christmas! It snowed a couple of inches through the night and continued to snow a little bit the entire day. It was beautiful! Heidi got what she wanted from Santa: Pretend cupcakes. These were perfect because a while ago we borrowed the Pinkalicious book from the library which they wanted read to them over and over again. She loves her Pinkalicious cupcakes! Hailey also got what she wanted: a hippopotamus. We had fun listening to the song I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas quite a few times. Luckily she changed her mind from wanting a Goldie fish (a live one). Cougar got a mattress. The girls had fun helping Cougar open all of his presents. As Hailey was opening a present from Grammy and Grandpa she kept saying, "This paper is adorable." Hailey received many toys, but really just wanted Daddy to read her the book that he got. She loves books! Cougar with his stuff Hailey with her stuff Heidi with her stuff Justin with his...

Christmas Eve

Our first Christmas Eve away from family was a great one. There was quite a bit of snow in our backyard even though it had not snowed in a few days, so we decided to go and buy a sled at the local hardware store and it was well worth it. The kids going to the top of the hill to sled with Dad. Hailey cheering Heidi on as she went down the hill. The girls going down the hill by themselves. We just started them part way up the hill so they could go on their own. After a little while Justin and Heidi were going down the hill from the top and then opened the gate on the side of our house so they would go all the way to the road. It was so fun! Cougar had fun with some toys inside. It's a family tradition for me to go to Chuck-A-Rama on Christmas Eve so we decided to find an all-you-can-eat place out here and we found Ryan's. It was pretty good. Then we went to a friend's house (the Henshaw's) and had a Feliz Navidad party with lots of Mexican food. It was delicious. M...

A blue Christmas

I just finished making these. It's our first Christmas away from family and every other year we have just used the stockings that are extras. This year we needed our own, so I made these. We love blue! This is Cougar the other day during his tummy time. He was super tired, but I thought he would at least try to roll or something. Nope. He didn't even cry or anything. Just fell asleep.

6 years!

Sunday night we watched our wedding video. I love it! I love remembering all the great things in life that brought us to the point where we got together. Heidi and Hailey tell me I look like a princess. And 6 years later we are still in love and have 3 beautiful children. Life is great! When we got engaged up American Fork Canyon We were married and my eyes were SOOO bad! We have a great wedding book, but not many pictures other than the ones my grandma took. I can't believe it's been 6 years!

Bowl game and Christmas fun

After each of the kids had their turn at being sick this week, I was ready to have a fun weekend. We were able to skype with my family for about an hour before the bowl game. It was very nice to get to talk to them. The girls were so excited to wear their BYU clothes again. They love when we have BYU day! Heidi and Hailey have so much fun together. Cougar still wasn't feeling that well. Singing the Fight Song one of the many times we were able to sing it on Saturday as we beat UTEP . The girls in their Christmas dresses, which they didn't get to wear to church since Heidi had snot running all over and Hailey was coughing and said many times, "I don't feel any good." We made gingerbread houses on Sunday afternoon. My graham crackers smelled terrible and the icing I used wasn't as good as normal because I wanted to use one that Hailey could touch and eat. That meant I couldn't use my mom's recipe that is like cement because it's made with ...

Parties and a check-up

Over the weekend we had our Ward Christmas party on Friday night, then Heidi had a friend's birthday party on Saturday, and then we watched the BYU basketball game Saturday night. Weid worked his first Saturday in probably close to 3 years this weekend. Heidi stayed home sick from church with me on Sunday and is feeling even worse today. Lots of sleeping seems to be making her feel better. Cougar also had his 6 month check-up today and is growing like a Weidman (that's what his daddy said). The kids also have a new cousin today. Baby girl Craghead. She doesn't have a name yet, but we are so excited she's here! Christmas Hailey. Only 15 days to Christmas that day. Hailey loved running around the house with her bells singing, "Jingle bells, Jingle bells, jingle all the way. Oh what fun it is to ride in a one force open shade." It was so cute to hear her jingling through the house all day. She became very good at moving just right so her bells would r...
