The Weidmans

Mindy and Simon blessed baby Chloe on December 4th.  We had a lunch at my mom's after because we can't all fit in Mindy and Simon's place.  Since it was her birthday she wanted to have everyone do gingerbread houses while we were there.  I made Hap a new church shirt and he looked pretty cute with his BYU tie.  Chloe and Dylan were born just 3 days apart and Hap was born 3 months later.  Hopefully they'll be great friends.  Addilyn used to be terrified of Weid, but isn't quite so shy anymore.  Lacey was pretty tired and didn't want to do much.  Since everyone was together, we also made it into a Smart Games party.  I like the games.  They're fun and make you use your brain.

Cougar had his VIP day at school, since it was his half birthday.  He decorated a blue crayon with lots of his favorite things.  Hap is such a sweet boy and doesn't seem to mind most things his siblings do, like sharing their things with him whether he is awake or asleep.  I had a fun relief society activity where we each brought a little gift and exchanged it with someone else whose name we drew out of a bowl.  First we would tell a few things about ourselves and why what we brought is a favorite thing of ours (I took a dish drying mat).  When it was my turn to go up several ladies offered to take Hap.  When I was done they kept him.  They loved him!  He smiled and laughed for them.  I looked over and they were taking pictures of his cute little face.  Cougar's glasses came in the mail.  It was really different to see him in them at first, but you could tell right away that they definitely helped because he could read his book wit...

It was quite the shock to all of us to come back from sunny Arizona and then have it snow.  The kids were excited when it was still on the ground when they got home from school.  Cougar is such a nice boy and helped me finish shoveling.  He didn't even stop to take off his backpack or anything.  He just grabbed the little shovel and started helping.  They went out to build a snowman but found that it did not pack well.  Instead they walked around in it, made snow angels, and threw snowballs at me.  Heidi helps me more with Hap.  She loves to hold him and make him happy.  I am very grateful for it.  Lacey was sweet and didn't get into trouble in Arizona, but as soon as we were back home I guess she felt comfortable and was back to her silly self, climbing all over the counter and making a mess of the clean dishes.  

We took the kids out of school Tuesday and headed to Yuma, Arizona. It's the first time any of the kids have been there and only my second time. We stayed at Jill's. She had plenty of things for the kids to do. There were two trampolines, a bounce house, a huge yard and house, a big peg board, crafts, shrinky dinks, cousins to play with, a huge park that we went to, and sunshine to play in. We had an uneventful drive there and back, other than stopping to feed an infant every 3 hours. We saw Spike in Needles, California. The kids loved it when we got to the bumpy up and down roads in Arizona. They were laughing and smiling as if on a rollercoaster. We saw Justin's old stomping grounds around the city. It was fun to show the kids where he used to live, play tennis, lifeguard, and go to school. We ate yummy food from Chile Pepper and cheesesteaks from Ronnie's Pizza. We got an ice cream at the Foothills Mini Mart. The boys played football. There were a lot of...
