Games and Leaves

The rest of that week full of birthdays we had soccer games, cheer, and hanging out at home. Brynlee is the cutest little goalie. Hap loves to line up his cars (and Lacey's new ones too). Heidi's group learned a lib at practice that week and we put it in the halftime routine. My fruit fly trap is amazing and captured all the little critters. After that week of birthdays all the kids are now even numbers again: 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, and 4. Hailey was trying to be taller than Cougar and Brynlee likes making funny faces. Eventually we got a cute picture of them all. We went to look at leaves but maybe chose the wrong canyon. With ours still closed from the fire we tried Spanish Fork canyon but it's also looking sparse from the fires a couple years ago. We eventually found a beautiful tree to stand by, but we might have had to climb up the side of the mountain to get to it. The leaves were not as much as we were expecting but we still saw some beautiful fall colors and had fun spen...

Lacey's 6th Birthday

Our little Lacey is 6! She got to go out to eat with Grammy a few days before her birthday and since I was going to be at cheer practice when they got back we took their picture before and then by herself with the stuff she chose later. Lacey is such a nice little girl and the best big sister to Hap. She loves to help, loves to make people laugh, and loves to have fun. Still always curious, which sometimes gets her into trouble, she is determined to figure out how to do things herself and doesn't give up easily. There's nothing this girl can't do when she sets her mind to it. Lacey loves going to school. She has made many new friends and enjoys learning new things. Her favorite part of school is recess where she gets to do what she wants. Lacey loves for me to sing to her at bedtime because she gets a kiss on each cheek, her forehead, and her nose, which she also returns to me. Whenever I tell her it's time for reading lessons she always says, "And scriptures!...

Hap is 4

Hap slept in on his birthday, almost until all the kids were gone to school. He is my little buddy. He loves Baby Mickey, Blaze, cars, and books. At the end of the day he likes to help me sing to Brynlee and Lacey before he gets put to bed. He requests lots of songs to be sung and in a particular order which varies each night (and usually gets them because he's the youngest). Currently they are Popcorn, Rock a Bye Baby, Twinkle Twinkle, and Jesus Christ (I Am a Child of God). He likes to help me bake, run super fast, and be wherever the big kids are. Hap has the best smile and laugh. He loves the color orange. The library started story times again that week so I signed up for the Thursday one since it was on his birthday. We are so glad to have some things returning, even if they are totally different than before. Hap even got to go out with Grammy on his actual birthday. He showed her how well he can eat (slow and steady) and picked out some fun new cars and shoes. He put those on...
