We loved the Olympics! And an update.

We have had so much fun watching the Olympics over the last couple weeks. It is so much fun to watch world records being set and see the world come together. It always reminds me of how proud I am to be an American and how lucky I am to have the freedoms that I have. Michael Phelps was definitely fun to watch. My other favorite things to watch were the gymnastics (of course, they're the best), beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, diving, sprints (did you see Usain Bolt?!?), and everything else that we got to watch. It was so much fun! Also, Hailey turned four months old yesterday. She is getting bigger and smarter but is still pretty little. She is about 10 1/2 lbs. now. She loves to be standing or sitting (with some help of course) and is reaching for toys and holding her rattle. She LOVES to play with her feet and chew on her hands. She is just so cute and we love her a lot! Heidi is almost two and getting so smart. The other day there was a children's cup from the Ol...

No more Binky!!!

As of tomorrow, it will officially be three weeks without the binky! Finally! I wanted to get rid of it before Hailey was born but never quite got around to it. Then about two months ago she started to bite through them. So after she bit through it, we would throw it away, and we got to the last one and told her not to bite it. But she did, so we cut off the end and she didn't want anything to do with it anymore. Sometimes when she is really tired she says "Binky" in a really sad voice but then finds her friend Cougar Bear and is just fine. Heidi is such a cute girl and growing up so fast!

We love when our family visits us!

This past weekend it was just the four of us here, but the two weekends before that we had visitors! Two weeks ago my brother, Curtis, and his girlfriend, Lara, came to visit us. We have lived here for over two years and I can now say that all of my immediate family has come to our house! Weid took Curt golfing on Saturday morning to a beautiful golf course. Weid played about how he usually does and Curt played one of the best games of his life and shot an 80! Lara, Heidi, Hailey and I swam in our little pool in the backyard. Then we went down to the Gateway Auto Museum and then ordered pizza and watched a movie. It was a great weekend! One week ago my parents came to visit us. We had a great weekend just relaxing and watching the Olympics. We love having visitors! Curtis and Lara at the Gateway Auto Museum with the car that cost 3.24 million dollars Heidi hanging out at the museum Heidi with Grammy's prescription sunglasses (watching her walk around in them was hilarious) Heidi wi...

Crazy Girls

The girls are getting so big and so funny! Hailey has recently started "talking" all the time. She loves to just hear her own voice. She has also started smiling a lot and laughing quite a bit too. She likes to be standing all the time, and she also likes to wrinkle her forehead for some reason. She has rolled over many times, but doesn't do it every time that we put her on her belly for some tummy time. Heidi is just hilarious! She is getting so smart and can tell us just about anything that she wants or needs. She loves to read books. She really likes to sing songs. Her recent favorites are Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam (Sun-beep is what she calls it as she throws her arms out and brings them back in as fast as she can), Ring around the Rosie (Ashes ashes), Popcorn popping (co-corn), and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes (head shoulders), Pat-a-cake (roll it), anything where she gets to move her body around to the words. She knows most of her letters and numbers when she s...
