Pioneer Day and Cousins

We had our annual neighborhood Pioneer Day breakfast and parade. They loved decorating their bikes and taking them for a spin around the block. Becky took the picture of me and most of the kids. We had a relaxing day at home in the sprinklers and for the first time in many years we didn't go to the big show in Mapleton. We put Cougar's belt on Hap, but just for a few minutes. Hap loves Bryce! Bryce is so nice to carry him and around and play with him. Hap always has people to play with and carry him when the cousins are around. I love how much all the kids love being with their cousins. The girls had their last day of gymnastics for the summer session. We went to the Provo Rec to swim. Everyone had a buddy or two and had a lot of fun. The outside slides were closed but they still loved it. Hap really liked the indoor kid area. Baseball, Girls Camp, and BYU Day

Cougar's baseball team made it to the tournament. Each team gets to pick up a player from a team that didn't make it so Cohen Sonnenberg was on his team during these games. Cougar continued to play wherever he was needed, including pitcher and then outfield for the first time ever. They lost every game but loved being part of the tournament. Cougar played really well in the tournament tagging a base for an out, throwing in the ball from outfield, pitching, hitting the ball (even though he ended up hesitating so he got out), and tagging a player for an out. The little kids kept busy with Fruit by the Foot wrappers and the chalk from an adjacent field. Heidi went to girls camp up Spanish Fork Canyon again for four days and Weid was up there for most of it. The kids got to break boards and make their own constellations at the library. The Round Peak Fire burned on the mountain just north and west of our house. It was quickly controlled on this side but spread up and over the top ...
