The Weidmans

We had a good week at home preparing to go out of town for Thanksgiving. Hap decided he really likes this Mickey Mouse playset. I was happy to find Heidi at the piano, it had been a while. At story time that week they brought out the body of the turkey and asked what shape it was (expecting them to say oval) and Hap told me, "It looks like a potato." He said it loud enough that the librarians heard and called it the potato shape the entire story time. Weid had his semifinal game, I pureed pumpkins and made muffins, and the kids made a giant leaf pile and jumped in it. Hap wasn't so sure about jumping in but eventually did. I blew the rest of the leaves into a pile so I could mulch them. Hap still doesn't like loud noises but was fine playing out there once he put his ear muffs on. The little kids keep themselves occupied in the mornings before school by taking pictures on my phone. Some of them are really cute. Lacey wore her new school shirt and moved up another reading level. Hap learned how to draw a heart and made lots of notes with his name and heart on them that week. Hap loved splashing in the puddles on the way in to the library, then was playing after story time but that came to a sudden halt when he heard a fire truck and ambulance zoom by. An apartment complex by Walgreens was on fire. Hap chose these clothes all by himself and the outfit reminded me of when Cougar used to wear that exact same thing. Our old presidency went out for lunch at Super Chix. I love these ladies! This is the only photo we have ever taken together.
