November

November did not start out how I thought it would. Lacey figured out how to climb on the rocking chair and made it her usual hangout.  She was so proud of herself for getting up there.  She loves to look at books there, or if you're sitting on the couch she will hand them to you and then turn around so that you will pick her up and read them to her. The kids had fun playing with the play dough that I had made for part of my sunbeam lesson.  They played with it for hours that Sunday and then occasionally throughout the week.  Brynlee liked playing with it while the kids were at school so she could have all the cookie cutters and rolling pin to herself. This just about sums up the first two weeks of November.  I was playing with Hailey's hair and when I started to braid it two bugs crawled out of the braid.  I looked in her hair and couldn't find any other bugs but the back of her head had sores from scratching it so much.  I asked Heidi if ...

Halloween

Halloween is always so much fun with little kids.  We got a final decision from each of our kids for what they wanted to be for Halloween and went with it. Lacey is an escape artist in these pajamas.  She woke up like this from her nap earlier and then I found her like this after a snack.  The time before this when she wore them I got her from her nap and she had both arms out and the head hole was at her waist.  Silly girl. We went to the Halloween party at the Museum of Art.  We didn't have too much time because we had to get to gymnastics but it was fun.  For one activity they had to find people dressed like the people in the paintings and then get codes from them to make up a final clue to get a piece of candy.  A nice police man told Cougar that he was his buddy and gave him a sticker police badge.  That made him happy.  When we got back outside he thought it was pretty cool to see this police car.  Lacey went as a bunny th...

Fall and Carving Pumpkins

I love fall because the weather is great, there is football to be watched, leaves to play in, and pumpkins to carve. The kids helped rake up some leaves while we waited for Dad to get back from his scout campout in Payson.  They were so cute sitting in the leaves. We watched our Cougars beat Wagner.  We had the best dressed fans around.  Cougar was going to go to the game with his dad if he got back in time, but since he didn't get home until right before the game started we all watched it at home. Lacey was the cutest little cheerleader. We painted nails to be festive.  Brynlee wanted candy corns on her fingers and ghosts on her toes.  She was being crazy.  Cougar was there for moral support.  When doing hair that morning, I assumed she just wanted her hair down.  Her dad asked her how many rubber bands she wanted and gave options of 2 or 3.  Since I thought she was going to say none I just threw the number 5 out there a...
