Silly Heidi

Heidi has been so funny this week! She has been acting like all kinds of different animals, crawling on the ground and making animal noises, or hopping like a bunny or frog, and walking like a penguin with her arms out and legs straight. And she loves to run all over the house. She doesn't quite understand the difference between walking and running, but she does understand fast and slow. So she runs fast and runs slow all over the house. She loves doing other things fast and slow too, like "Pock a rosie" (ring around the rosie), and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. One day this week I went about my normal routine and asked Hailey if she wanted some food. Well, that made Heidi want some food too, even though I knew she wasn't really hungry. So I gave her some yogurt and started feeding Hailey. It requires just about all of my attention to keep Hailey interested in the food, so I wasn't really paying attention to what Heidi was doing. She was supposed to be eating h...

BYU vs. UNLV and our visit

The game was much better this week than last, although it was much closer than we would have liked it to be. But we had a lot of fun, and a great visit with our families. Saturday morning we ate breakfast with Ashley, Eli, and Jax. It was so fun to just catch up on each others lives. We were able to spend some time with Jodi, and she was so nice to watch the girls for us during the game. Then we went and spent some time with my parents (Grammy and Grandpa). Heidi was very excited because she also got to play with her cousins this trip. And then we were very lucky that Hailey slept the whole four hour drive home. But then I was not so lucky and had to stay up with her until 1:00 until she got tired. I guess it's worth it to have a nice drive home. I'm so glad we can still stunt together. Future BYU Cheerleader...Maybe My two happy girls. Heidi has this new thing that she wants a picture taken every time she lays next to Hailey on the blanket, so I did. We went out to eat with...

An enjoyable weekend

The last week has been wonderful, except for the BYU football game. We still love BYU football and will continue to cheer for them. But let's not talk about that. As for good news, Hailey has started eating baby food! She is almost six months old, and seemed ready to eat so I decided to give it a try. I gave her rice cereal for the first time last Monday and she liked it quite a bit. I have continued to give her rice cereal once every day since then and she is getting better at eating and swalling it every day. Then today I also gave her some sweet potatoes with the rice cereal. I think she liked that even more. I'm sure it tastes better. I can't believe my little baby is growing up so fast! On Saturday we watched some college football (of course) and made some cookies. Then we went to the Central High School football game to support some of the youth from our stake, and Heidi had a blast! She just looked around the whole time, observing what those around her were doing. I...

Homecoming Game...and crazy girls

This last weekend was BYU's homecoming game. It was kind of a crazy game for me. It was so cold that I didn't want to take Hailey, but since she won't take a bottle I was kind of confused as to what to do for her. I didn't want to miss the game, but I would have if I had to. I would do anything for these adorable girls I have been blessed with. Luckily Justin's sister, Jodi, was there and was willing to watch her for me. His parents' house is just about a mile (or so) north of the stadium. I am glad that they live so close. Since we are both cheer alumni, we were able to perform the fight song on the field at the beginning of half time. It was kind of fun, but I obviously was not planning on doing any such thing as anyone could probably see from the no make up and hair in a bun. Oh well, it was fun. Then I had to run home and feed Hailey, and then run back to watch the last quarter. It would have been much easier if I were at least wearing better shoes. Maybe ne...
