Look what Hailey did!

She pulled herself up to standing! What a big little girl! She really wanted those books! She has always loved standing up, so now I am just happy that I don't have to hold her all the time when she wants to stand up. She's still working on the crawl, but it's coming along. She stretches out and then pulls her knees in (and repeats) to get where she wants to go right now.

Four Years!

Our family then: Our family now: It has been a wonderful four years and we are looking forward to everything that the coming years have to bring!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!!

Finally it has snowed here in the valley! It finally feels like it should be the Christmas season. Driving isn't so much fun, but Heidi loves looking at the snow and asks every day if she can play in the snowman (close enough I guess). Such a funny girl. Saturday night when it finally started snowing Sunday morning Heidi helped her dad shovel the driveway Our girls ready for church Hailey, our little gift this year This is what she would look like with hair

A trip to Colorado Springs

Justin had to go to a training meeting in Colorado Springs, and so we made it into a little family trip. We still haven't had any snow here in Grand Junction, but there was definitely a lot of snow in Colorado Springs. Heidi doesn't mind the car ride because we let her watch movies. Here she is watching Elmocize, and exercising along to the song Workout in a Chair. Heidi loves swimming...even in December. Hailey's first time in a real pool. She loved splashing! Me and the girls After eating dinner, Heidi was very happy Cheyenne Mountain Zoo...no joke, it really is in the mountain. Giraffes. They have 21 giraffes at this zoo, the most of any zoo. In the summer they put down a draw bridge and the giraffes come running out. Much too cold for that this day. Pushing the stroller in the snow up the mountain! When we got there at about 9:45 the lady said that the computer was going slow because I was her first transaction of the day. I asked her if there were any other people ther...

Ward Christmas Party

We don't have all of our decorations up, but we did get our Christmas tree up last week. Heidi loves playing with the ornaments. Hailey wanted to stick everything in her mouth at the Christmas Party. We had a muffin for Heidi, and she put it on the table for a minute. Then she asked me where her muffin was. I looked all over the table, under the table, and everywhere I thought it would be. Hailey had taken it and was shoving it in her face...not her mouth, just her face. Later, she saw herself in this ornament and tried to shove that in her mouth. She's a funny girl. Heidi loved Santa from far away, but she did not want to sit on his lap for this picture. He was on this trailer that went around the grass for a little ride, and she saw him leave and said, "Bye Santa. Have a good day." And then after she got her bag of candy she said, "Thank you, Santa, for the candy." She is a lot of fun at this age.

A Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

Spending time with family, watching football, eating LOTS of food, going shopping on Black Friday, humanitarian projects, and making the drive in beautiful weather...what more could a person want? We had a very fun weekend, and were kind of sad to come back to our real lives, but we are very excited that it is almost Christmas and then we will get to see everybody from both our families. Heidi's first time not staying in her bed at nap time...I guess she wanted to sleep by the door. Hailey's new face that she makes while blowing air in and out of her nose. It is so funny. Heidi's hair on Thanksgiving so it would stay out of the food. Heidi was worn out before eating. Hailey was worn out after eating. Heidi liked Thanksgiving dinner, and she loved that both sets of grandparents were there, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and great grandparents. Heidi wanted to push the stroller, not ride in it. She loved spending time with Papa outside, and helping him clean up the le...
