A Family Date

Yesterday Weid called me from work and asked me if I wanted to go out to lunch with him. We picked him up from the school and headed out for a fun afternoon together as a family before we add another one. We went to lunch at Arby's and then went on campus and explored with the girls. They loved feeding some bread to the ducks. They also liked walking up and down all the stairs and seeing people. We stopped at the Eyring Science Center and had fun teaching the girls a few things while there. They especially liked trying to grab the dollar that wasn't really there. Heidi said that it ran away from her so she couldn't get it. It was pretty funny to watch them try and grab for it. It was a fun little day together. Being silly

These girls are pretty funny most of the time, but then there are days when they are just hilarious and I can't stop laughing. The last few days have been like that. On Sunday we were celebrating Jared's birthday. So they had a few decorations out and then the kids were playing and knocked off the green balloon of the end. Hailey came over to me and said, "Mom, you have mine balloon in yours jacket?" Apparently she thought I was hiding the green balloon under my clothes. Nope, just a baby in there. Then yesterday Hailey was playing with this red stick and pretending she was cleaning up goo with it. She didn't want to let go of it so she did some fun tricks hanging onto it. We had friends, the Larson's, over last night to the Weidman's house and the kids had a lot of fun playing and eating together. They had so much fun with Chase and Izzy. Then Stacey had brought Jello to make into jigglers and the girls loved it. Hailey was especially excited that she co...

I looked out the window and what did I see?

Snow! This was crazy! The end of May and we wake up to snow covering the ground. Also today I went to the doctor and I was still 2 cm dilated, same as last week. But also 70% effaced and a 0 station. The doctor said he would probably see me in the hospital sometime next week. But if not, only 20 days to go!

The library and a party

I am a little bit scared about moving because I know they have a library where we are going, but I have no idea about the size or quality of the library. We love going to the library every week and listening to stories and singing songs during lap time at the Orem library. We all just love going there each week. The girls love picking out books and reading them there and at home and then we play at the park right next to it after. I am really going to miss this library. Hailey surrounded by some of her favorite books: Arthur, Berenstain Bears, and Critter books. She found the library bag and read just about every book in there to herself. We changed things up and went to a different park this time. The girls loved it! Heidi loves leading Hailey, and Hailey likes to follow Heidi around so it works out well. The week of throw up

This week was one of those weeks that you just can't quite figure out what's going on. It started on Tuesday when we were driving up to Logan for Aunt Janine's funeral. We were about halfway there when all of a sudden Hailey got kind of grumpy in her car seat and then two seconds later she threw up. So we stopped at the next exit and cleaned up as best we could in the rain and bought Hailey a new dress to wear. We later realized that it was because she was given bad soy milk in her oatmeal that morning. Then Thursday night Heidi came to me and said she wanted me to hold her. She doesn't usually want that so I thought it was strange. About a minute later when I came out to hold her she told me she threw up in her Dora chair. Dad wasn't home so the cleaning was left all up to me. Then she was playing again and seemed like nothing was wrong. When we put her to bed about an hour later, she layed down and almost immediately threw up in her bed. So we changed her pajamas ...

Mother's Day

I have been very blessed to have such a great Mom! She has taught me so much about how to be a good mother through her example. I am also blessed to have a wonderful mother-in-law who treats me like her own child. And I love my children for allowing me to be their mother. I can't think of anything I would want to do more than raise these beautiful children I have been blessed with. Me and my mom I love living around both of our families, but sometimes on holidays it makes things a little interesting. This year we went to see my mom on Saturday night so we could pick up Justin's parents from the airport on Mother's Day. Justin and his mom Me with my cute girls (and baby boy coming in 5 weeks!) My little cheesers Me and Justin Thanks to him I am a mother. I love this man and all he does for me. He helped the girls make wonderful cards for me, and also made me breakfast in bed. I loved it and couldn't have asked for anything better! Heidi had the opportunity to sing with t...

Uncle Ken

My Uncle Ken was in town for a few days this week. So we had a fun dinner at my parents' house and then played a game of Canasta. We all had a lot of fun being outside in the wonderful weather. The girls loved playing on the trampoline and the swing set. Even I jumped on the tramp and did a back flip. Ken's son, Tom, was also there with his family. It was fun to have the kids all play together. I hadn't seen my Uncle Ken for about 6 years so it was fun to see him again. Me and Uncle Ken The girls getting in Ken's big truck Inside the truck. It's like a tiny little house in there. The wheel is bigger than they are A game of Tetherball between the brother-in-laws My dad read a book to the girls while we were playing Canasta and they all fell asleep. We had a fun time visiting and eating and playing games. Hopefully it won't be another 6 years before I see my uncle again.

Hailey

Hailey is such a cute girl! She definitely likes to have things her way and it makes things interesting and lots of fun! Here are some things Hailey has done over the last few weeks: Hailey showing her muscles! The next day I was washing her hands and she had them clenched in fists when I put the soap on. The soap was on the part that looks like a snail and she said, "Mom, you put soap mine muscles." I guess she thinks those are the muscles since that's what you do when you show your muscles. Hailey loves a scooter ride with her dad or Papa! Hailey got a bowl of cereal all by herself. (Her bowl was filled to the top) Hailey loved playing with our new bubble wand, especially because she didn't have to blow the bubbles which is kind of hard for such a little girl. Hailey loves to be by her mom. She loves to hold my hair or just be held. We were both very tired from going shopping, blowing bubbles, and running outside. *Hailey loves books! She likes to be read a book onc...

Heidi

Heidi is such a sweet little girl. We love having her in our home! Over the past few weeks here are some of the memorable things that she has said or done: Showing her muscles! Heidi loves giving hugs! Every morning I always love getting a hug from her and watching her give them to everyone else too! Heidi loved going on a scooter ride around the block with Dad We love this time of year because of all the beautiful flowers that start to come and Heidi loves it because she gets to help Grandma water her flowers. Heidi attacking her bread twist when we went out to dinner for Grandma's birthday Heidi loves bubbles and she loved them even more with this new bubble wand that we got. *I put on a movie for her to get some rest in the day and one day that movie was Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. Feliz Navidad was being sung in the background and she turned excitedly to me and said, "Santa's singing that!" *I was patting my leg to the beat of the music in the car and she to...
