March Fun

Heidi moved up to level 3 which means she goes for an hour and a half and gets to do all events each week.  We had to change nights to make it work.  It also means we are there for 2 hours now.  Lacey took some pictures with my phone and it made me smile to see that she had taken a picture of Brynlee and Cougar playing.  They are so good at playing and keeping themselves busy and happy.  We had our Relief Society Birthday Dinner and now that I am on the committee I got to help set up for it.  It's nice to have a calling again.  Cougar's Learning Journey paper made me smile because he is not one to like anything he doesn't already know he likes.  The kids have been busy making bead shapes.  I only grabbed a few to take a picture of but there were others too, like a few BYU ones (of course).  Brynlee is getting very good at them and loves doing patterns.  I went with Heidi to the school maturation program.  As part of March Madn...

The end of February

The kids played in the snow again.  After the few weeks of warm weather they were excited to play in it again.  Since we had so much snow earlier they were playing in a foot of snow and jumped into it and declared that it wasn't that much snow.  Lacey was up to her usual crazy antics when it seemed to get quiet after a bit.  We found her taking a nap in Hap's bed with a pack of crackers.  Heidi got to go to the Springville Museum of Art for activity days and see some art done by her piano teacher, Abby.  They have some high school art displayed by top artists and Abby is the Art Sterling Scholar.  Hailey got to go with her activity days group the next day.  Their school started its March Madness reading contest.  The kids started reading immediately and this is how I find them about all month long.  They all love to read and I find them like this often at any time of year, but even more so during this competition because they want to wi...

Snow again

After playing outside and enjoying the warm weather I was totally shocked to find snow when I woke up.  I went to tell the kids to eat breakfast and found these two outside shoveling.  Heidi recited her poem for the term and did a great job.  Her dad came to watch her so she used the microphone like she promised.  It was nice to be able to actually hear her.  On the way back to the car Lacey decided she wanted to walk through the snow.  Heidi passed all the skills she needed to in gymnastics to move up to level 3!  She was very excited and we are happy for her and proud of her.  It kept snowing and Cougar kept helping to shovel it.  Hailey loves to help me in the kitchen and rolled the rolls for me.  It kept snowing and didn't look like we had shoveled when we just finished.  The kids went to the dentist and did the best they ever have with Cougar and Heidi not crying at all and only minimal crying from Hailey and Brynlee.  It...

Park and President's Day

The weather was so warm and there was finally no snow on the ground.  We headed to the park with some friends and had a great time enjoying the sunshine.  Hap loved his first time in the swing.  With our friends also at the park we had to wait a bit to get the swing and then all 3 kids wanted a turn.  I did what I've always done and stuck 2 kids in one swing and then Brynlee had the other one.  They all loved it.  Hap got hungry and tired so I fed him and he fell asleep and took a nap.  We played at home and I found that Lacey had colored all over our mouse pad.  I had no luck in trying to clean it.  Hap is such a cute smiley guy.  He still sleeps all swaddled and sometimes gets his arms out.  He looks so relaxed sleeping with his arms behind his head.  It was a 3 day weekend so there was plenty of time to get some work done.  Weid changed one of the pipes so a bigger shower will fit in the downstairs bathroom.  Hap ...
