A Wonderful, Magnificent, Glorious Weekend!!!

Thanksgiving weekend was the best weekend in a long time! I had so much fun with my family over the holiday, and I could tell that they certainly see that they loved having us there (or at least Heidi). I am beginning to realize even more that our families like seeing us, but they LOVE seeing Heidi. And I don't really blame them because she is so cute! Heidi "helped" my mom put up Christmas decorations while I did lots of shopping. She loved bringing out the boxes and getting all of the stuffed Christmas bears out. And she especially loved going up and down the stairs hundreds of times. Heidi is all bundled up to go outside. I loved going shopping! We found some great deals, and overall I just loved being able to go again and keep up with tradition. My older sister, Heather, and I went to ModBod at Thanksgiving Point at 1:00 a.m. and it was packed! We then continued on in our quest to find great deals by waiting outside of Mervyns. The first 250 people got free $10 gift ...

I've been tagged!

6 facts about me: ( that maybe you didn't know before) 1. I love my family. I was just thinking the other day how lucky I am to have the family that I do. I love my little family that is growing so fast, I love my parents and siblings, I love my in-laws, and my grandparents. I really just love my family! 2. I am addicted to reality television. It's bad, I know. Currently, during the week I watch: Amazing Race, The Bachelor (what a horrible end this season), Beauty and the Geek, Biggest Loser, Kid Nation, America's Next Top Model, and Survivor. Oh boy! That's a lot! And some of my other favorites that aren't on right now are: The Apprentice, American Idol, Top Chef, So You Think You Can Dance, Big Brother, and I'm sure there are others that I just can't think of now. I know, I have a problem. I'm working on it, but I'm ADDICTED! 3. I am scared to death to call people on the telephone. It makes me so nervous that I'm almost shaking sometimes when...

Our funny girl

For the last little while, I have been pretty tired, and I am not ready to get up when Heidi gets up. So for the last couple of weeks I have brought her into our bed, and then I turn on some children's cartoon for her to watch so that I can sleep for at least a few more minutes. One morning I just tried to hold her to see if she would go back to sleep. She didn't. And instead, she looked around the bed, found the remote and handed it to me, and then turned her head to look at the TV. Then when it didn't turn on, she looked at me and the remote, and then she looked back at the TV. I just can't believe how smart she is getting! Last weekend was another great football day at our house. Heidi loves watching the game and clapping whenever she sees other people clapping. And yes, we are fully invested and will continue to wear our Cougar Blue for every game, even when we watch it in front of the television. Heidi loves her "cheer bear" and carries it around the hous...

It's almost here!

Only two more days until the biggest shopping day of the year! I am so excited! I haven't been able to go for the last 3 years and it has been heart breaking. I mean, who wouldn't want to go out and wait in lines at 3:00 in the morning so that you can get the greatest deals of the year? It has been hard to just hear stories of the people pushing and shoving and not being in the midst of the action for the last couple of years, but my time has come and I will be out there this year. Bright and early. And I am so excited!!!

Our long visit

Over the last couple of weeks we have been in Utah for quite some time. Since there were two home BYU football games so close together, Heidi and I just stayed in Utah the whole time because my grandma had come out from Florida to visit the family and to finally meet Heidi! It was very sad that Heidi was over a year old and had never met her Great Grandma Thede. But it finally happened. After we got to my parents house, it took Heidi about 30 seconds before she went right up to her Great Grandma. It has been nice on many occasions that we don't have a shy child. Heidi loved playing with her cousins, and playing this game where she would run to the stairs, climb up one and then wait for us to come after her, and then she would try to climb up as fast as she could to get away from us. It was quite an adventure to keep Heidi away from the stairs, and made me realize that I am glad that we don't have any stairs in our house. She has become pretty good at the going up part, but the...

Goodbye Truck...Hello Minivan

Well, with our family growing at the rate that it is, we thought that it would be a great idea for us to get this minivan from Weid's parents since it was such a great deal and in very good condition. But I always told him that we would not have 3 cars with only 2 drivers, so he made the sacrifice and sold his beloved truck. We have already enjoyed driving the van to Utah because there is so much more space than in our little Corolla. And we think that Heidi liked it better because she was high enough to see out the windows.

The secret's out

Well, we were trying to keep this a secret for a while, but it just turns out that I am not very good at telling lies, and my eyes went bad again. A dead give away to family members...we are having another baby!!! I am 14 weeks along and am due May 8. We are very excited!
