The Weidmans

I made a cake just because. Weid kept working. We had our weekly lunch and water party at Grammy's. The little kids played in the mud and the older kids played a ball toss game. We hung out at home playing games and going through all the books in the house. Weid read this one and really liked it. Lacey and Hap turned on the recordings on the piano and "played" along with it. My little flowers are starting to grow. Brynlee drew with her sparkly chalk and it looks really cool. Pictures did not capture how it sparkles. We listened to a youth zoom fireside and celebrated Weid's birthday a day early. The kids had their piano recital and long awaited pool party (I think it was two years ago that she promised they would have a pool party). Back in February I won a boat trip with the Metlers at our ward service auction. We were going to go on Wednesday, but something came up for them so we went on Thursday instead. Tender mercy; it was better for me so we didn't have to rush back to get Brynlee to gymnastics. It was super bright out there so they looked at me for a second and that was all they could handle. We skipped rocks while waiting since we got there early so they wouldn't have to wait for us once they got there with the boat. We all got a turn on the tube, but Hap wasn't really a fan. After a while he wanted to try again on a slow ride with all the kids and enjoyed it. Jeff drove the boat like a crazy man and made Weid and myself fly off and into the water. I should have taken my ring off because with the cold water I almost lost it in the lake. At one point we thought Heidi had fallen off the tube but then she popped back up over the middle. We're still trying to figure out how she didn't fall ...
